Redline Endorsed by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO)

A specialised agency of the United Nations, the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) was created in 1944 to promote the safe and orderly development of international civil aviation throughout the world. It sets standards and regulations necessary for aviation safety, security, efficiency and regularity, as well as for aviation environmental protection. The Organisation serves as the forum for cooperation in all fields of civil aviation among its 191 Member States. The ICAO coordinates a global network of Aviation Security Training Centres, known as ASTC’s. Just before Christmas 2011, following a lengthy and in-depth application procedure, Redline was notified that the Secretary General of ICAO, Mr Raymond Benjamin, had approved the application to endorse them as the 23rd ASTC.

Redlines headquarters, the NSTC, will be officially inaugurated by ICAO on 01st May 2012 where the ICAO flag will be handed over during a brief ceremony. For all ICAO purposes the NSTC will become known as ‘ASTC Doncaster’. In practical terms this means that all ICAO security courses will be available in the UK for the first time. Please check back after 01st May for more information regarding the delivery of these courses when a dedicated web page will be available.

The Redline team is enormously proud of this milestone and will proudly fly the ICAO flag alongside its own at the NSTC.
