This one day course is designed to refresh DfT certified RFX instructors on the content of the initial course and to update them on recent developments in the world of firearms, explosives and incendiaries.
It also includes the latest information on improvised weapons and methods of concealment.
Course Details
We are able to provide a one day RFX training course that will be of particular benefit to anyone that is responsible for checking and searching for firearms, explosives, incendiaries and other weapons, but it will also raise RFX awareness levels in all personnel working in areas such as:
- The aviation industry and its associated agents
- Ship and port operators and their agents
- Channel Tunnel operators
- The railway industry
- Sport stadiums
- Entertainment venues
- Shopping centres
- Government buildings
- Event security
This course is designed to provide awareness training in the recognition of firearms, explosives, incendiaries and other weapons and includes hands-on familiarisation with inert examples.
Eligibility
This course is intended for those who fall into any of the following categories, having attended an RFX Initial course at least 2 years previously:
- Aviation security instructors of airports, airlines and their agents
- In-flight catering agents
- Air cargo agents
- Equivalents in other transport modes and relevant support services
RFX Refresher training must be completed every 3 years by those instructors who require an ID card to possess inert RFX training aids.
