Threat Assessor

Course Aims:  Currently all DfT accredited Threat Assessors will have completed the self study package and been signed off as competent by an existing Threat assessor. Redline has refined this concept into a one day course designed to impart knowledge by practical exercise.

Led by one of the authors of the current package, you will be guided through the DfT Positive Target Indication (PTI) method of assessing whether a threat is credible or otherwise. This tried and trusted system can easily be transposed to any arena of any industry.

Having a tutor to guide you through the potential pitfalls will lend a confidence to decision making when it matters, something that cannot be achieved through self study. The ability to ask questions and be guided through scenarios, which actually occurred, will leave the delegate confident in their own abilities and in the PTI system.

Redline has added a ‘decision making cycle’ module to the existing DfT training package syllabus. This assists the threat assessor in making an auditable decision, which in the cold light of day may make the difference when called upon afterwards to justify thought processes and solutions.

• 16th June 2010 (Bolt-on to Aviation Security Managers’ 02/10)
• 10th November 2010 (Bolt-on to Aviation Security Managers’ 03/10)
