Security at the Chicago Marathon was raised after a man was arrested with an AR-15 Rifle and a pressure cooker

Security measures were put in place ahead of Chicago’s Marathon following a recent traffic stop by the City’s Police Department near O’Hare Airport, which resulted in an arrest. The man was allegedly found with a pressure cooker and a pistol, as well as a AR-15 rifle.

After further investigation, three unidentified individuals were arrested and questioned by Chicago’s organised crime bureau and joint terrorism task force.
