Drone Collides with Canadian Commercial Aeroplane

A recent collision between a drone and commercial aircraft is the first incident to occur in Canada.

A commercial aircraft carrying six passengers and two crew members was recently struck on one of its wings by a drone. The Canadian transport minister confirmed that the plane was able to land safely with only minor damage caused.

In early 2017 Canada announced that it would be made illegal to operate recreational drones in close proximity to the airports.
