Whistle blowers at Adelaide Airport have made claims that there are serious issues with their security. It has been reported that in just five days there were four security breaches which allowed illegal weapons to pass through security. It has been claimed that in a restricted section of the airport, someone was found with fake ID. One woman stated that the lack of training provided was worrying.

The security at the airport is provided by a private company, who have stated that the security of their customers is of high importance to them.
