Aircrew Security Training

Initial Course
(Classroom Based Training)

Current UK legislation specifies that security measures must be established and enforced by airports and airlines to protect passengers, cargo and property.  Training of your crew forms a considerable part of these security regulations.  Redline’s security instructors offer you targeted training courses to meet your legal obligations and ultimately prepare you last line of defence against threat, disruption and attack.    The aim of the aircrew security course is to provide aircrew with the necessary information to enable them to remain security conscious, and to understand what measures must be taken to minimise the consequences of a security breach or incident.

Our security training follows the Department for Transport’s National Aviation Security Training Programme guidelines, set out in the following modules:

• The Threat to Civil Aviation.
• Objectives and Organisation of Aviation Security.
• Hijacking.
• Potentially Disruptive Passengers.
• Recognition of Firearms, Explosives and Incendiary devices, and their component parts.
• Searching an Aircraft.
• Assessment of bomb warnings and emergency procedures on the ground and in the air.
• Handling the Media.

Redline Aviation can also add further modules to support your crew and your operation:

• Down Route security measures.
• Hotel security and fire procedures.

Courses can be delivered at our state-of-the-art training facility or at your company premises.

Refresher courses by Computer Based Training (CBT)

Aircrew refresher training is an integral part of your ongoing security programme.  Refresher training is designed to review the following:

• Current Threat Assessment.
• Recent incidents, and lessons to be learned.
• New Government advice and Policies.
• Company procedures, manual amendments, policies.
• Update initial training teaching points, where appropriate.

 

NB. We also include bespoke and operator specific training aspects so that you have a dedicated and robust training product which caters for all your security needs. The course is updates quarterly and has a validation period to ensure that any changes in Direction, Regulation or your own Operational Procedures are kept up to date, relevant and effective.

We  can save airlines thousands on training costs through the use of smart CBT.  Redlines’ accredited aircrew instructors have developed and produced, in partnership with Quadratica (UK), a CBT package which is fully compliant with the DfT mandatory training syllabus for aircrew

The package, which is reviewed every three months, allows airline’s greater flexibility for scheduling crew training whilst maintaining a high standard of information that meets the regulatory and corporate requirements.  The CBT training packages can be developed to match your organisations image and ethos.
