National Civil Aviation Security Programme (NCASP) Workshop

This interactive workshop is designed to familiarize participants with the requirements of a National Civil Aviation Security Programme (NCASP) and enable them to draft and review such a programme.

Eligibility

This workshop is suited to middle or senior management level personnel within a State’s Appropriate Authority, who are responsible for the control, drafting, review, updating and/or implementation of a NCASP.

Course Content 

The workshop covers a wide range of topic areas, including:

  • Identification and allocations of roles and responsibilities of all aviation security NCASP stakeholders
  • Supporting legislation required for an effective NCASP, including international and national requirements
  • Requirements and methods used to implement an effective communication system
  • Security requirements for cargo, protection of airports, aircraft, navigational aids and control of persons and items (including persons other than passengers and vehicles)

 Course / Workshop Format

The workshop will be delivered through classroom instruction using presentations, group exercises, discussions and practical exercises.

There is no formal assessment for this workshop.
