Redline Approved To Deliver UK Counter-Terrorism Security Qualification

Friday, May 8, 2026

We are pleased to announce that Redline Assured Security is now an approved delivery centre for the SFJ Awards Level 3 Award in Counter-Terrorism Protective Security and Preparedness (CTPSaP).

Developed with the direct input and backing of the National Counter-Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO), CTPSaP is designed for professionals with operational or strategic responsibility for counter-terrorism preparedness at venues, events, and public spaces. It provides formal, documented evidence of genuine counter-terrorism competence, not just awareness training.

The qualification is particularly timely. The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, known as Martyn's Law, is now on the statute book. Venues and organisations across the UK are working through what their statutory responsibilities mean in practice and how to demonstrate they are meeting them. CTPSaP offers a structured, evidence-based pathway to do exactly that.

What the course covers

Delivered over five days, the programme spans six mandatory units covering threat landscapes, risk evaluation, protective security measures, preparedness planning, and the completion of a formal counter-terrorism risk assessment and written recommendation. Cohorts are capped at ten delegates, ensuring a focused, expert-led learning environment.

Assessment is conducted through a multiple choice examination, written assignment, and professional discussion, all designed and quality-assured by SFJ Awards.
