Our practical-based X-ray Awareness Training course ensures that staff are able to operate an X-ray scanner effectively to detect prohibited or threatening items, such as IEDs, IIDs, firearms, and ammunition. Further enhancing this training, we have a test suite of 2D and 3D X-ray machines at the National Safety and Security Academy (NSSA) in Doncaster, allowing staff to gain hands-on experience, including live screening of images. Our EU and UK aviation regulatory-compliant 2D and 3D X-ray Threat Image Recognition Training (TIRT) system is both technically sophisticated and intuitive, equipping X-ray screeners with the knowledge and skills needed to use the full functionality of an X-ray effectively to detect items of concern. X-ray screener training is supported with an extensive image library of varied and representative threats as well as everyday items.
