As proud members of Major Events International (MEI), we’re delighted for them to feature our article on the importance of Behaviour Detection Awareness (BDA) training in the events sector. Major events can be the target of criminal and terrorist activity due to high-density crowds and media interest. This creates a need for security and event staff to be trained in BDA as a non-invasive and effective method of identifying suspicious, and potentially criminal, activity.
The Manchester Arena bombing and the inquiry that followed proved that current major event security infrastructure alone is inadequate to identify and deal with the threat at hand.
You can read the MEI article in full here.
Our BDA training equips staff with the confidence and competence, appropriate to their role, to act and escalate as required, ultimately better preparing the venue to deal with an emerging threat as it happens.
Until the end of September, our BDA eLearning course is only £2.50 and takes only 30 minutes to complete. To find out more, and to book yourself on the course today, visit our dedicated Behaviour Detection page.
