Paul was born in Norwich, Norfolk. He was educated at Wymondham College, and has a BSc (Hons) in Aeronautical Engineering from City University, London. Paul started work with British Aerospace at Filton in Bristol, working with naval weapons trials and simulations in 1983, and has been providing technical solutions to support training and simulation ever since.
Paul quickly moved from permanent employment to consultancy and started his first company RSE Ltd in 1987, specialising in software development. RSE developed QinetiQ’s key simulation software package RTAVS – still used by QinetiQ today. RSE was dissolved in 2002 in order to allow Paul to become a founding member and Technical Director at cueSim Ltd, a specialist simulation training company supporting the aerospace industry.
After helping to quadruple the company’s turnover in four years, Paul left cueSim in order to focus on technical consultancy. He spent the next eight years as a Technical Adviser with the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL) to Head Quarters Air Command. Paul was responsible for the design and delivery of the UK’s national and multi-national Air and Joint synthetic, networked, distributed training exercises; a programme valued at over £100m.
Paul joined Redline in 2014 as the Technical Director, with the primary focus of significantly expanding and enhancing Redline’s e-Learning and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions to ensure they remain industry-leading.
Paul is married to Katy with five children.
