Course Overview

This course will provide those with managerial responsibility for the implementation and oversight (of all or part) of their organisational security programme with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure compliance with the National Aviation Security Programme (NASP).

This training is mandatory for any person with general responsibility at national or local level for ensuring that a security programme and its implementation meet all legal provisions. At national level, this is the person who has oversight of policy and practical implementation relating to security issues on behalf of the airport, air carrier, air cargo regulated agent, and regulated supplier of in-flight supplies (IFS). At local level this is the person with local oversight of policy and practical implementation for the whole site, or a significant area of it (e.g. a terminal or local station).

The recurrent course is designed to refresh and update the knowledge of those qualified and practising as ASMs.
