Course Overview

This course will guide participants through the DfT’s Positive Target Identification (PTI) method of assessing whether a threat is credible or otherwise. This tried and trusted system can help you and your team, whatever area of the industry you fit into.

Participants will have the opportunity to benefit from the experience of existing threat assessors and real-life scenarios. Furthermore, the course contains an additional module focused on the decision-making cycle to complement the mandatory syllabus and support threat assessors to make an informed and auditable decision.

The course covers a wide range of modules, including:

  • The Principles of the Positive Target Identification (PTI) System
  • The Threat Report Form
  • Accurate Assessment of the Threat
